Two Children Stabbed to Death Last Night

In a shocking, tragic incident, two children were stabbed to death in Roslindale last night, and their mother was sent to the hospital with self-inflicted stab wounds.

One victim was a 10-year-old boy, and the other was a 12-year-old young woman. The mother is 31.

News reports are indicating that the mother may have been suicidal. According to the Herald, the mother called her best friend and said, "I’m moving on. Don’t worry about me." One neighbor said that the mother just lost her job at Children's Hospital, and that may have driven her over the edge.

In its online video segment, WBZ reported that the mother once said she was the only one who provided for the children and that she wouldn't leave the world without them.

The scene was so chaotic that the news last night was having trouble keeping the information straight, though we can hardly blame them. At first, it seemed as if the mother and son died, and the daughter had the self-inflicted stab wounds, but then later reports indicated that the children were killed.
