Francesco Insolia, Dilia Costa, and Gloria Melo of Michael Bianco, Inc., enjoyed a contract to supply the military with backpacks. But their days of riding the gravy train are over. Now maybe someone should ask the guv'mint what they were thinking when they awarded a contract to these people in the first place.
The Globe article focuses on the fact that the company hired illegal immigrants. They don't mention what the workplace was like. Michael Bianco, Inc., was essentially a sweatshop, and the owners should catch some heat about that.
