Attention, Broke Foodies! It's Restaurant Week!

080708_restaurant_week.JPGDuring Restaurant Week, which runs from now to August 17 (skipping Saturday, August 11), you can eat three-course lunches for $20.07 and three-course dinners for $33.07 all over town.

You still have to pay for tips, tax, and beverages alcoholic and otherwise, but that's still not a bad deal. You can see a full list of participating restaurants here, and you can make reservations through OpenTable. From there, it's beg, borrow, or steal to get yourselves into some of the hotter restaurants, but you'll find something.

MenuPages recommends four restaurants in particular, which we'll list along with an appealing dish: Rialto (fresh corn and lemon risotto with basil pesto), Pigalle (fruit tart with mint ice cream), Tremont 647 (lobster mac and cheese – how decadent!), and Sage (chilled melon and prosciutto soup). Leila's descriptions of the cuisine are absolutely mouthwatering. Don't visit her descriptions unless you're hungry and you're worried your growling belly will distract your friends, coworkers, or family. And, if you're regular readers, you know Bostonist digs Elephant Walk.

The event is sponsored by the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau and American Express in partnership with the Anthony Spinazzola Foundation present Restaurant Week Boston®. That's quite a mouthful.
