Have you noticed how dubious incidents often have some sort of unmarked white van involved? For some reason, a white van has become the embodiment of shady and scary. The British in particular are leery of white vans and their drivers, and a site exists that tries to produce improved PR for white vans.
A 10-year-old member of the Kennedy clan, Saoirse Rosin Hill,* was walking back from playing tennis (these are the Kennedys, remember?) on Thursday morning when two men pulled up in a white van.
They asked if she wanted a ride, but the plucky child thought fast, took off, and immediately told her family. The Kennedy compound is probably in lockdown right now.
The Barnstable police aren't sure if the guys in the white van committed any crime. We don't blame the Kennedys for being nervous - white vans are scary!
*Blueblood family trees are always rather confusing. Hill is the daughter of Courtney Kennedy Hill and the granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy. We're not sure how you say "Saoirse," either. WCVB went with "Seer-sha."
