Arlington's School System Fulfills Peyton Place Destiny
A few weeks ago, a sex scandal in Arlington boiled over. Stavroula Bouris, the principal of Ottoson Middle School, and teacher Chuck Coughlin had been exchanging sexy e-mails. An anonymous individual gained access to those e-mails and turned them into Arlington school superintendent Nate Levenson.
Levenson had tried to fire Bouris before - and now, two weeks before school starts in Arlington, he's done it.
Bouris and Coughlin, who had already been fired, hired a lawyer and have filed suit against the district for snooping into their e-mails. Snooping in e-mails doesn't seem right; however, it wasn't the brightest idea in the world to send mash notes on work e-mail - just a word to the wise.
One of the e-mails from Coughlin to Bouris read, "Hey beautiful. Want to get naked? Chuck."
Bob Sprague at Your Arlington also lists another error of which Bouris is accused - forging e-mails under Superintendent Levenson's name.
Judy Malone Neville is now the acting principal. She used to be principal of Charles Brown Middle School in Newton. Wait. "Charles Brown Middle School"? Seriously? Can you hear the "mwah mwah mwah murf" sound of the teacher droning on and on in Peanuts?
