It's Miller Time, but you might not be getting to the bar as quickly as you'd like. We heard from a tipper at 4:45 pm that trains were dumping all their passengers off at Park Street and that it was mighty hot and mighty crowded.
In a Boston Community Live Journal post that appeared at noon, littlestarletta noted that a communications center at High Street lost the ability to communicate with all trains and buses.
Amy Derjue at Boston Magazine's blog posted at 4:18 that there had been a power outage but that it was clearing up. Joe Pesaturo of the MBTA told her that there could be "residual delays."
Bostonist got on the horn to the T's customer support, figuring some poor soul might have word on what was going on. The T's website certainly wasn't helpful, which is odd because it usually is, believe it or not. We were on hold for over 10 minutes and imagine the folks working those lines are getting an earful. The person we spoke with just said, "Everything will be fine." It better be. Like we said, it's Miller Time.
