Boston Blotter: Love, Hi-Fi Pizza Style

091107_hi_fi_pizza.JPG--Hi-Fi Pizza is usually known as a hangout for drunken concertgoers and college students looking for some absorbency. But a drunken, one-sided domestic dispute went down in front of the Hi-Fi in Central Square early Sunday morning. Isaac Evans McClamy was multitasking by riding his bicycle and arguing with a woman who may have been his girlfriend, all while drunk. He engaged with the Cambridge PD, hitting one officer with his bike tire and causing another officer to trip over his bike.

The story isn't all that special - but the Cambridge Chronicle whipped up an excellent headline: "Drunken Lover Rebuffed and Cuffed."

--Carlos Pizarro, former member of the Boston police department, pled guilty for protecting cocaine for drug dealers back in July 2006.

The turncoat officer got caught because the drug dealers were actually undercover feds. He will get at least 10 years in jail, but it is likely to be higher. Gee, officer, was it worth it? Two more former BPD officers, Roberto Pulido and Nelson Carrasquillo, are facing trial and pled not guilty. Pizarro's plea puts their cases in a whole new light.

--A spacey bus driver didn't notice that a little kid was still on the bus at the end of the day yesterday. A four-year-old girl was due to come home on the bus at the regular time, but when she didn't arrive her mom called the police. Turns out that somehow the kid escaped the driver's mind, and she was found in a bus lot in Charlestown later in the evening. Making matters worse, the bus company claimed the kid had been dropped off with her father before she turned up.
