Boston Blotter: C Is for Cookie, Not Criminal!

091207_cookie_monster.jpg--Cookie Monster would be very, very sad. An employee of the Bon Appetit restaurant inside Lesley University lost his mind on Saturday morning and told his boss exactly how he felt. Jose Arevalo's boss told him to plate some cookies. He didn't feel like plating any damn cookies, so he said he "wasn't listening to her because she was a woman," shoved her, squeezed her neck, and threw her into the door of the walk-in refrigerator. Luckily, she is okay, and Arevalo is facing charges.

--When the BPD made a not-so-social call to her Roslindale home yesterday, Donna Pimentel tried to escape being arrested by encouraging her pit bulls to bite police. Instead, they bit her. Perhaps they had reason - police said Pimentel's house was "littered with dog feces and urine." So what was the BPD after her for? Making annoying phone calls. We're not kidding.

And guess what the BPD titled their post about this incident? "Who Let the Dogs Out?"

--What is it about Ruggles? Teenagers with guns got into it at the Ruggles T stop. Authorities managed to catch one of the shooters on Tremont Street, and they also found a gun.

--Follow-Up: The explosion that flattened a house rented by Stonehill College students is now being blamed on a faulty pilot light on a water heater. Matt Tarulli, one of the students buried under the rubble, described his experience of falling from the second floor and staggering away after the blast.

--Aren't politicians supposed to do illegal stuff and get away with it after they get elected? Cambridge City Council candidate Gregg Moree didn't get the memo. Back in February, he was arrested for breaking into his ex-wife's home and beating her with an umbrella.

Moree will go on trial for the domestic violence charges on October 15, mighty close to election day. Hence, all charges alleged. Moree told the Herald that he is innocent.

All charges alleged until proven under law. And that includes during election season. Image of a perturbed, confused Cookie Monster from Muppet Wiki.
