Stuck Between Stations: Finneran Fantasizes About "Dope Slapping" Britney Spears

WRKO_Header.jpg

--Tom Finneran of WRKO tried to join the Britney Spears VMA Performance Conversation. His input, which he probably thought was witty and snappy, left everyone just feeling uncomfortable. He declared that he would have given Spears a "black eye" and a "dope slap" if she kept him waiting just as she did her dancers during rehearsal. Yes, that's the way to tame those women who can't keep their clothes on, Mr. Finneran - just beat some sense into them. And what was he like as a prom date?

Next time, Finneran should just let the pop-culture conversations pass right on by. And what is a "dope slap" anyway? Did he mean "pimp slap"? Huh?

--Howie Carr is literally stuck between stations. His WRKO contract expires on Wednesday, and he is set to start at WTKK on Thursday. That is, unless WRKO finds a legal way to stop Carr, but he wants out of there and already has an office at WTKK.

--Paul Sullivan, WBZ host who died of cancer, was a much-loved man. According to reports, "hundreds" turned out for his funeral in Lowell. John Kerry, Deval Patrick, and Marty Meehan were among the crowd.

"“People are overreacting. This is talk radio,” Regan said."

^The reason I don't listen to radio, least of all talk radio. (Not that I'm defending Britney, or anything. She and her subculture are just as bad)

Typical Host: Would you like some more egotistical, anti-intellectual drivel to spoonfeed your culture with?

    Masses: Yes, please!
