Boston Blotter: Cat Pee Drives Man to Violence
--A man in Plymouth was arrested for beating up a kitten in a CVS parking lot. Robert J. Frates, 25, blamed the cat for his despicable actions, claiming the cat peed on him. The poor cat, whose owner is unknown, had to be put to sleep.
--Drivers, brace yourself, and watch the skies. Pumpkin-tossing season is coming. Cretins are warming up by tossing rocks off an overpass above Route 24 in Bridgewater, and police are on the alert.
--Residents of Franklin Hill public housing, where a man was killed on Monday night, are requesting more police patrols. Kelvin Alexander of Providence was the third person to die there in the past three months. One resident of Franklin Hill told the Globe: "It's never been this bad."
--Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Kwedor, of Methuen, for setting a fire in Everett that destroyed a Middle Eastern food shop and left 20 people without a place to live. No word yet on his motive. Maybe he's just crackers. WBZ reports that his own mother took out a restraining order against him.
--Props to BPD officer Peter Giannopoulos, who got involved and caught Bruce Saidi, the man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a Los Angeles woman early yesterday morning.
All charges alleged until proven under law. Cat's Eye movie image from Amazon.
