We See Famous People: Cheezus Crust!
--The production team for Bachelor No. 2 got kicked out of St. Leonard's Church in the North End. They had planned to shoot a scene inside the church, but the church's priest, Rev. Antonio Nardoianni, got wind that the crew had redecorated Umberto Galleria and named it "Cheezus Crust."
Apparently Nardoianni missed the hidden commandment "Thou Shalt Have a Sense of Humor." But the location scouts probably should have put two and two together and realized that a) word gets around fast in Boston and b) Rev. Nardoianni was going to find out.
Since the fictional "Cheezus Crust" is the location of a key scene in the movie, so, to the priest's displeasure, "Cheezus Crust" trumped Jesus Christ, and the team looked for somewhere else to shoot.
--The Globe did a feature on the Pink Panther production in Boston, which is substituting for Paris. The director claimed that Boston will be a fine stand-in for Paris, and, while we love our fair city, we'll believe it when we see the results.
Did a film crew get in your way this week? Have you seen any famous people spending their money in our fair city? Please drop us a tip on the "Contribute" page or e-mail caroline@bostonist.com.
