--Walter Tyler, 27, disappeared on Monday while riding a ferry between New Bedford and Martha's Vineyard. Tyler is a Navy vet, and his family says that a) he's a good swimmer and b) he didn't seem like the type to jump off the ferry.
--In Plymouth, a man and a woman were taken to hospitals last night after the Jeep Grand Cherokee they were in drove off a boat ramp and into Plymouth Harbor. They were underwater for almost an hour.
--Some dipstick in West Roxbury tried to get out of shutting down a rowdy party by informing police officers that his dad was a cop. The cops weren't impressed and told him he was in trouble anyway, whereupon he started fighting with the officers and was arrested. Wonder what Daddy thinks now?
--Update on the man found stabbed to death off the Jamaicaway: Police sources are telling the Herald that the man was "known to police" and that the crime may have been drug-related.
--Isaura Mendes has been through hell. She lost two sons to violence and became a peace activist. She was arrested yesterday because she laid down in front of a police cruiser that was about to take away her grandson, Joao Vicente, on a witness intimidation charge. The BPD is also accusing her of scratching an officer on the neck.
--According to WBZ, a BPD officer showed up at work drunk. Sergeant Grady Durden was suspended for five days.
--Northeastern is back, sort of. A student who was expelled after robbing another student and intimidating a witness can't take the hint that Northeastern doesn't want him around. Shawn Bowden was caught driving his car behind Snell Library, and he had pot on him.
