Boston Blotter: Watch Your Back....Seat That Is

2toll.jpg
- Two men are on the lam after an attempted carjacking in broad daylight on the Mass Pike. The suspects jumped into the back seat of a car waiting in line for the Allston-Brighton toll. When they arrived at the booth the driver alerted the attendant to the carjacking while being "pistol-whipped" with a handgun. The car hit another and then stopped, at which time the two men fled and have yet to be found. Someone needs to tell these guys that their life is not an action movie.

- There was a brazen shooting at the Forest Hills T stop yesterday afternoon involving three youths. The suspects pulled their car up beside the victim's vehicle and shot several rounds into the car, which hit a light pole in an attempt to escape. Turns out that the young suspects were members of the notorious Lacerne Street Doggz gang. Word is that the injuries sustained by the victim are not life-threatening.

- An armed robbery was reported in the Boston Common early Thursday morning. The suspects pulled a classic diversionary tactic; with the victim stating he was asked for a dollar by a female suspect. When he pulled out his wallet a male suspect approached him with a knife and demanded the wallet. The female grabbed the wallet and the suspects fled in different directions. Police later approached Tim Taylor, 36 after he was identified by the victim. Mr. Taylor stated “I did not do anything and I am not taking this from nobody.”

He was promptly arrested.

- Sad news from Worcester that one woman was killed and 12 fire fighters injured in a large blaze in a triple-decker residence. It took 50 fire fighters over an hour to get the flames under control. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.

- Oddities out of Brookline: A panhandler was arrested Thursday and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property. The victim reported he was asked for money by the suspect upon exiting a Starbucks. When he refused the suspect got angry, kicking over a newspaper stand which hit the victim's car and inflicted damage. Maybe he should lay off the caffeine?

Elsewhere in Brookline a victim stated she was taking a left turn when a pedestrian "deliberately and repeatedly smashed his briefcase against the hood of her car damaging it." The suspect, an approximately 65 yr old man in a grey suit, has not been apprehended.

All charges alleged until proven by law. Toll booth image by Flickr user jglazer75

In re: to the hood smashing. I'm sure the "victim" almost ran over the old man prior to the briefcase whipping.
