It's never too early to start thinking about Halloween. This weekend, undertaker and impresario J. Cannibal - also known as local poet Janaka Stucky - is presiding over some midnight macabre mayhem at the Coolidge Corner Theatre with his "Feast of Flesh." Feast of Flesh has happened five times, but J. Cannibal is breaking out the big guns. He's screening horror classic Evil Dead, starring Old Spice pitchman and Duran Duran enthusiast Bruce Campbell.

The band Bad Ash - named after Campbell's character in the Evil Dead series - will open the night at Coolidge Corner. Black Cat Burlesque, who claim to "put the 'bump' back into the night," will follow. Announcements for the show describe the troupe as the "bad seeds of Boston Burlesque." Maybe they will reinterpret scenes from the original Evil Dead. Then the Feast of Flesh will get down to business with Evil Dead.

If you go, you will receive "gory goodie bags," and J. Cannibal promises additional giveaways and a Zombie Costume Contest.
