Boston Blotter: MBTA Mayhem Update

100407-mbta-stabber.JPG--After his picture was splashed all over the TV and Internets, the guy who allegedly stabbed two people at Park Street Station after the Red Sox Rally Monday night has been arraigned on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. Christopher Casey, 22, of Dorchester, was rounded up by T police last night. Bail was set at $25,000.

--How about this for a reversal? You'd think law enforcement has become all Taser-happy lately, but the BPD came across a guy who was packing his own Taser. Yesterday, police came across three men drinking from open containers, and one of them, 32-year-old Lester James Davis, admitted that he had a Taser. Somehow, it just doesn't seem right to tote a Taser and drink at the same time. Meanwhile on the Blotter, a guy went nuts and tore down a cigarette rack in a Roxbury convenience store, and police took in two juvies in East Boston for an unarmed robbery.

--A murder-suicide happened on Wednesday morning in Spencer. Deborah Daigle was estranged from her husband, Joseph Daigle, and had put out restraining orders against him. Their bodies were found They were found shot to death by their 16-year-old son. Their 13-year-old son was in the house when the incident took place. This is the second murder-suicide in Spencer in five months.

--A man went to a lot of trouble in an escape attempt at the Newton District Courthouse. Once he heard he might have to spend the night in jail, Todd Corcoran, 38, of Waltham, took off. When he did, he knocked over two court officers, tried to bribe a 50-year-old guy into a ride, and then tried to carjack a truck. After all that, police still managed to round him up. One of the court officers involved in the fray hit her head on the floor and had to go to the hospital.

The best part? When Corcoran tried to bribe the guy, who was minding his own on the porch, the guy reacted by waving a cane and--you guessed it--told him to "back off." Corcoran wasn't afraid of the court officers, but he was afraid of an older gent telling him to get the hell off his yard.

"They were found shot to death by their 16-year-old son."

At first, I thought this was a double-murder-suicide, but after RTFA, realized the son did the finding, not the shooting.
