More Info: Get the Tickets: The Darjeeling Limited With Q&A at the Brattle

Thursday, October 11
7:00 pm

Update: One commenter pointed out that the Brattle website isn't listing it yet and is showing Robert Reich reading at 6:00 pm and the Fantastic Film Festival starting at 10:00. Harvard Book Store, also sponsoring the Reich reading, sent out an e-mail saying the reading has been moved from the Brattle to the Swedenborg Chapel.

Update to the Update: The Brattle website's home page proudly proclaims that the rumors are true. Here is the info about the passes:

Admission is by pass only. Passes will be available at the Brattle Theatre Box Office beginning from approximately 7:30 PM Friday until closing, and then again after 11:30 AM on Saturday. Limit of 2 passes (admission for 4) per person. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure capacity the theatre is intentionally overbooked by the distributor (more passes are given out than we can accommodate) - admission will be by general admission until all seats are filled. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Next Thursday, October 11, is a doozy of a night, with readings by Shalom Auslander, Jonathan Messinger, and Robert Reich, along with the "Adaptations II: Novels Into Film" screening at brought to you by Coolidge Corner and Grub Street. (Watch Bostonist in upcoming days for interviews with Auslander and Messinger, by the way.) Things are about to get, well, doozier, with a freshly announced special screening of The Darjeeling Limited at the Brattle that a) is free and b) will be attended by director Wes Anderson and star Jason Schwartzman.*

Why do we tell you this now? Because passes will vanish soon. The Brattle says that you need to check its website for details if you want the passes. And, if you don't get passes, no sense crying--there's loads more to enjoy.

*Bostonist does not recommend asking questions about Owen Wilson. But we imagine that the thought probably crossed your mind, and then you swiftly buried it. Right?

Well, that was frustrating. The Brattle's website was updated this afternoon to let people know that the tickets would be available at "approximately 7:30" tonight.

And approximately 7:30 translated into 7pm, because when I showed up, they were long gone. Rats.

Addendum: Should say that Reich's 6:00 reading ("Harvard Bookstore Presents") is mentioned, but the 11th's only other Brattle event is the Fifth Annual Boston Fantastic Film Festival.

Thank you for the update. Keep on checking--I got the e-mail late last night, and it said they would be posting. I imagine that the tickets will vanish almost as soon as the announcement is made.

Maybe I'm not so much with the Internets, but the Brattle website has no mention of this, as of 9:20 AM Friday 10/5.
