Man Claims Brady Put Listening Device in McNabb's Chunky Soup

100607-chunky-soup.JPGWe thought it was weird when a former Nader advisor filed suit against Bill Belichick for Videotapegate. But Paul Flannery at the Boston Magazine blog came across what may be the weirdest lawsuit of all time.

Jonathan Lee Riches is a convicted felon who likes to file lawsuits. Flannery writes that Riches filed 36 of them in September. In the Pats-related suit, according to the Smoking Gun, Richman hand-writes, "Defendants cheated in the 2005 Superbowl [sic] against the Philadelphia Eagles. Before the game Tom Brady put a recording device in Donovan McNabb's Chunky Soup. He ate it."

We browsed Riches' complaint, which is available in full at the Smoking Gun, and it just gets trippier. He writes that Bill Belichick told him personally (translation: in his dreams), "I'm the real father to Tom Brady's child." That's just one of many, many mind-boggling statements. However, it isn't surprising that, after watching a few of those Chunky Soup commercials, Riches thought that soup might have a little something special. Someone even created a site about a "Chunky Soup Curse."

Donovan McNabb's mother is unavailable for comment. The same goes for Bridget Moynahan.

Image of "Fully Loaded" Chunky Soup from the Chunky Soup website. What would Riches make of that?

Well, Mr. Riches answered one question for us all: Why did Donovan McNabb throw up in the huddle in Super Bowl XXXIX?
