Boston Blotter: Car, Meet House
--In Centerville, Kelsey Pratt, 19, of Osterville, allegedly drove drunk into the side of a house. That in itself doesn't seem Blotter-Worthy, but WBZ has the video, and Pratt didn't just tap that house. She plowed into that sucker like it was a garage. No one got hurt. WHDH says this is Pratt's second OUI offense.
--But wait, there's more drivers plowing into houses! In Saugus early this morning, an unidentified driver struck two cars, flipped her own, and wound up driving into a couple's bedroom. One of the residents and the driver went to the hospital. No word yet if alcohol was involved in the Saugus incident.
--Early this morning, a 22-year-old man was shot on New Whitney Street in Roxbury. He died after being taken to Boston Medical Center. Few details are available, but the BPD writes, "Preliminary investigation reveals this was not a random incident."
--Last night, the BPD picked up Darryl Riley, 22, of Hyde Park, who was allegedly toting pot and a handgun. They also rounded up Kyon James, 25, of Dorchester, for holding up a Sunoco Gas Station in Mattapan. Then, early this morning, they found four young men--Kenny Mondesir, 17, of Dorchester; Travis Brown, 17, of Dorchester; Daquan Dooley, 18, of Roxbury; Nathas Jacquecin, 19, of Dorchester--who were ready for anything. They had two firearms, an ice pick (in case they ran into Sharon Stone), and a butterfly knife.
--On Friday afternoon, three 14-year-olds are already sliding down the path to crime. They tried to bully a victim who was waiting for a bus on Hyde Park Avenue into handing over his cell phone, but all three of the alleged juvies were arrested.
--Early Friday morning, some macho men got into a fight involving a motorcycle while on Merchants Row. The BPD report says, "The suspect stated that the victim wanted to fight. After being punched by the victim, the suspect tried to take the victim’s motorcycle." Hand gestures were also involved. The suspect, Matthew Page, 23, of South Boston, was arrested. Also Saturday morning, an unidentified person was found stabbed in the abdomen in Dorchester. He is now in stable condition.
All charges alleged until proven under law.
