--Yarelis Cruz, 26, of Lawrence, is a mom who allegedly grew pot in her house, and she got caught when the teacher of her 11-year-old son found pot pictures on the boy's cell phone.
The teacher confiscated the cell phone when Cruz' son was taking pictures in the school when he wasn't supposed to, and she spotted pot plants on the screen. The teacher did the math, the police investigated, and they found a plant pot, marijuana seeds, and a grow lamp in the son's room.
--An update on the Pop Warner coach who was shot yesterday afternoon: Myron Stovell was expected to leave the hospital today. The Herald is reporting that the teenager who shot him was getting revenge because Stovell hit the teen's dog with his car. but the dog wasn't even hurt.
--Elison Goncalves, 26, of Boston, irritated the BPD early this morning on Bowdoin Street when he refused to move his car after the BPD broke up a girlfight. Other cars were stuck behind him, and he pitched a fit when police asked him to move and asked if they had anything better to do. They did. They arrested him for Disorderly. Also on the blotter, an armed robbery at Park Plaza.
