--In a shooting last night on Talbot Street, one woman died and a man is in serious condition at Brigham and Women's. According to reports, three people, including one woman, approached the victims before the shooting started.
The woman, who has not yet been identified, is Boston's 56th homicide this year.
--The family of the late Liquarry Jefferson, the 8-year-old shot by his own 7-year-old cousin earlier this year, is back in the spotlight. His aunt, Antonia Gadson, 28, has been charged with, well, a lot according to the DA's office: "Two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in her Blue Hill Avenue apartment and one count each of unlawfully carrying a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, trafficking in more than 100 grams of cocaine in a school zone and possession of a class B substance."
Antonia Gadson is the mother of the boy who allegedly shot Liquarry Jefferson.
--Patrick Waweru, 28, of Lynn, allegedly stabbed Esther Kinyanjui, 31, to death and tried to kill himself with pills. Kinyanjui and Waweru had two children together.
--A Leominster father averted disaster when he turned his son and his son's friend in to police for plotting to kill fellow students at their high school. He also turned in a handgun and a list of names that may have represented potential victims, including teachers. The whole story isn't out yet, but that's not snitching. That guy's a lifesaver.
--A BU student is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old from Scarsdale, New York, after they met in a Facebook chatroom. James Bogush, 20, is from New Jersey. He told the girl that he was 16 before he arranged a meeting with her in Scarsdale.
--The man who was found shot to death by Route 106 in Foxboro Monday morning has been identified as Carlos Gomez, 29, of Central Falls, Rhode Island.
All charges alleged until proven under law.
