Oddblotter: New England's Busiest Peeping Tom, Mini-Mardi Gras

101707-peeping-tom.jpg--A level 3 sex offender with some serious impulse-control issues got busted in Cambridge District Court yesterday. According to the Herald, he went to the ladies' restroom, exposed himself, and masturbated in front of women in the restroom.

Police arrested 48-year-old Malcolm Maker, who apparently really wanted to get caught. Far as we can tell, he had no other reason for being at the courthouse. He was already on the radar for incidents at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and at a Macy's in Rhode Island.

Maker has quite the rap sheet if you search for his name online. He made News of the Weird for the Mohegan Sun incident, in which he ripped a tampon-dispenser off a stall wall so he could spy on women.

--The Herald runs a wrap-up of incidents that don't always make it onto BPD News. Kyle A. Joy was on Harrison and Beach in Chinatown early Saturday morning when he decided that he really needed to see some female body parts right that minute.

He didn't wait to get home and throw in a videotape of "Girls Gone Wild." Instead, he gave a prostitute 10 bucks and asked, "Where are the girls?"

She let him handle her "private area" (gotta love BPD lingo), which got them both arrested.

While that's on the lewd side, why did they get arrested? If everyone who participated in "Girls Gone Wild" got arrested, wouldn't the prisons be overflowing more than they already are?

--We've got another shrimp shoplifter! Shrimp stealing is very, very popular, as you can see in these shrimp thefts from September 2006, December 2006, and May 2007.

This time around, the individual in question tried to take a full shopping cart, including 10 bags of shrimp, from a Dorchester Stop-n-Shop. The BPD headline read, "Wrong Place to Stop-n-Shoplift."
