Oddblotter: Postal Worker Leads Cops on a Chase

101807-mail-truck.jpg--Did carrying around a bunch of mail-order catalogs and dodging dogs all day make an East Boston postal worker snap? Noelle Lacorte, 26, of Revere, was driving her mail truck yesterday morning when she almost ran over a police officer working a detail.

The police took offense, and she took off. Here's what happened next, according to the Herald:

“The officer observed the operator on her cell phone with a cigarette in one hand and a pen and a credit card in her other hand,” said Boston Police Department spokesman David Estrada. “The officer also observed she appeared to be under the influence. As the officer attempted to question the suspect, she drove off at a high rate of speed.”

Lacorte was eventually stopped by a Chelsea officer. She tried to punch him, but he grabbed her arm, and they were able to arrest her. Your Victoria's Secret catalogs are safe.

--The Roslindale police blotter notes the following about two little angels embarking on a tagging career:

While on a walking beat at Archdale, officers Dunne and Doiron allegedly witnessed two kids under age 10 spray-painting a wall with expletives that included “Expletive THE POLEASE.” One of the suspects was released to a relative. The other was brought to Area E-5 to be picked up by an adult.

Parents, if your kid is tagging, at least make sure they can spell. NWA knew that they had to at least get "police" right.
