PodCamp Boston 2 promises to teach you more than how to bedazzle an iPod, as witnessed on the reality-show I Love New York 2. The days are packed with practical seminars on creating your own web-media empire. Seminar titles include "Web 2.0 Tools That Are Actually Useful" and "Intellectual Property Law for the Creative Class." Full seminar listings are available in PDF format on the PodCamp Boston 2 site.
You'll also get the chance to mingle with the tech elite. The PodCamp is bursting with attendees. Steve Garfield, local maestro of video blogging and a sponsor of the event, will be on hand. We looked at the list of those arriving, and you'll meet students, VPs of big companies who are keeping their eyes on trends, and a puppeteer.
The organizers stress that you must register beforehand and that the Expo Center won't let you in if you just show up. They are also not cool with being like all the other conferences. Organizers Christopher Penn and Chris Brogan say in their welcome: "Business cards are mental bookmarks to continue conversations, not a greeting." Another tip--bring your own power.
