Party-Hoppin: Thunderdome in Cambridge, Party Past Dawn @ Rise in Boston
Halloween weekend is upon us, and much like last year's festivities there are far too many options to choose from. In addition to that, Boston has gone completely bonkers over the Red Sox kicking ass in the World Series, so you can be sure to find extra excitement in every neighborhood you party in over the next few days.

THUNDERDOME VIII
Friday, October 26th
Greek American Political Club
288 Green St, Cambridge
21+ / 10pm / $7
w/ Catchdubs, Caps N Jones
Mistaker, Baltimoroder, DJ Die Young
MySpace: Thunderdome
Tonight, Thunderdome returns for its 8th installment and moves back to its home 'hood, Central Square, but have upgraded from the dark underbelly of the Elk's Lodge (a cool place that was simply too hot for many sweaty bodies) to the Greek American Political Club on Green Street. It's about one measly block from the Central Square T stop, as if Thunderdome couldn't be even more convenient to bridging the gap between Friday night party and 2am grub at the always delicious Falafel Palace. Tonight is Nick Catchdubs, who you'll be hearing a lot more about these days now that he's started up the Fool's Gold label. In addition will be Caps N Jones, favorites of the weblog Discobelle. Bostonist has been keeping its eye on the buzz surrounding Thunderdome on sites like Going.com and Yelp, and it looks like there's going to be an insane amount at its new location. Come one, come all...come costumed!
AFTERPARTY ALERT!
Baltimoroder + DJ Die Young
Friday (well, Saturday, really)
RISE
603 Stuart Street, Boston
21+ / 1:30a-6:30a / $20
E-mail here to get on the guestlist for $10 reduced admission
Afterwards, the much-loved Baltimoroder (Hearthrob) and DJ Die Young (Basstown) will be taking over the lounge at Rise, and bringing in a new sound that the late night is used to hearing. Though both DJs are lovers of house and all kinds of classic techno, the crunchier, bass-heavy goodness that has been sweeping both Boston and other American dance parties as a signature for the stateside (with a lot of love from Paris) bangers sound will be in full effect.
