Boston Blotter: More Red Sox-Related Disorderly
--Well, that didn't take long. The BPD announced that it arrested 18 people during today's Red Sox Rolling Rally. All the arrests were for disorderly. For the record, Bostonist saw absolutely no disorderly along Boylston, unless people refused to climb down from trees and the tops of the public toilets.
--The Red Sox fans who were arrested after celebrating Game 4 against Cleveland were arraigned yesterday. Some admitted to bad behavior, while others, according to WCVB, said that police were too rough. One man, John Shaw, of Providence, said, "Got tackled from behind by three riot cops. They let me go. I started to walk away. Three riot cops tackled me from behind again. Dragged me along the ground. Yelled at me. Threw me into a bus."
The press release from the DA's office also mentions that one Harvard student, Brett Thomas, "was so intoxicated when taken into custody that Boston Police were unable to complete the booking process until well after his arrest." Leave it to a Harvard student to excel in all fields, including drunk and disorderly.
--A 16-year-old unleashed his fury with a wiffle ball bat. In Hudson on Saturday afternoon, the teenager grabbed a wiffle ball bat while inside a store, and he proceeded to swing it wherever he felt like it. The MetroWest Daily News reports that the teen also waved the bat at the store clerk. The store clerk was likely unimpressed. Afterwards, he tried to break into two homes and was arrested.
--From the BU Free Press: A BU student was held up early Sunday morning by a guy with a knife. After the student forked over the money and took off, the robber shouted after the victim: "You didn't have to give me your money, but thanks!"
