Vote for Local Animator in Climate PSA Competition
Animator Dave Schlafman, of Boston, is in the finals of Current TV's Current and the Alliance Ecospot Contest to find the best PSA about the environment. The goal of the contest is to get people to look at the climate crisis in new ways.
The masses can vote for the winning spot. All it takes is registering on current.com, and you can vote for the best PSA. Schlafman's is titled "The Sky is Falling," and it is fifth from the bottom of the list. Schlafman's animation style is reminiscent of "The Rugrats." The basic message is that the elephant isn't just in the room. It's barreling down up on your from the heavens.
As of our last look at Current's site, Schlafman had 583 votes, and he was second to a video called "The Little Things," a bright, more optimistic clip that has 954 votes. Voting ends at 3:01 pm EST on November 9, 2007.
