Who knew that a bookstore would know how to feed the people so well? But Porter Square Books will be serving up two culinary treats. First off, brace yourself for some Beaujolais. Author Rudolph Chelminski will wax poetic about the joys of the delightful wine, whose latest harvest will arrive in America on November 16. The event is $75 bucks, which is whopping, but you'll get a "multi-course meal" according to Chez Henri's website and a copy of Chelminski's book I'll Drink to That: Beaujolais and the French Peasant Who Made It the World's Most Popular Wine as part of the deal.
Phantom Gourmet creator Dave Andelman will make an appearance at Z Square in Cambridge to promote The Phantom Gourmet's Guide to Boston's Best Restaurants 2007. Porter Square Books is promising "wine and goodies" to go with the food, so you can sample Z Square and hear about all the other places you'll want to enjoy.
