Tricky, Harvard, tricky! We've had Richard Kelly on the brain this week, thanks to A.R.T.'s world premiere of the stage adaptation of Kelly's 2001 flick "Donnie Darko." The Harvard Film Archive is ready to provide even more of the director's work tonight at its Quincy Street location in Cambridge. Kelly's "Darko" follow-up, "Southland Tales," will be screened tonight at 9:15 p.m. as a special sneak preview event.

Kelly continues his sci-fi focus in "Southland," presenting viewers with a futuristic post-9/11 Los Angeles that has been taken over by military industrial types with an eye for the entertainment biz. The challenge of saving Los Angeles falls on an action star with amnesia - who just happens to be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The Rock + Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) + Stiffler (Seann William Scott) = the saviors of Los Angeles? We're intrigued.

Kelly also manages to prove his cred by featuring in "Southland Tales" original music by Moby and a dance sequence by Justin Timberlake. The latter, of course, demonstrates that one of our pressing questions will finally be answered: will white K Swiss sneakers be in style in the future?
