Representing on Reality TV: Where's Denise?

110407-denise.jpgSurvivor: China: This week marked the all-important tribal merger, not to mention heaps of shenanigans involving the Immunity Idol. Yet Denise, our beloved Denise, barely spoke. What is with all this drama drama drama and no Denise? Is this a subtle hint that she may have won the whole thing?

Since no one is letting Denise talk, we decided to check out her bio over at the official Survivor: China site. She's a badass. She does karate, she collects Budweiser memorabilia, and she named her dog "Tedy Bruschi K9." Oh, and she enjoys axe and knife throwing. Do you want to ask her about her mullet? Go right ahead.

Kid Nation: The kids of Bonanza City are starting to fight over money, and it's up to the Town Council to try to keep it under control. When the guide book points the council to buried treasure, Laurel, Guylan, and their non-Massachusetts cohorts decide to spend the money on what might be good for the kids instead of letting the kids spend all the money on themselves. Otherwise, they might splurge on the fried potatoes that this one kid is selling.

Some of these kids have some truly odd obsessions. One can't stop making potatoes, and another is addicted to doing laundry. At one point, Guylan has to command the laundry addict to stop washing clothes. But the potato-maker is too braggy about her work, which Laurel's not having, so the laundry-washer gets this week's Gold Star.

America's Next Top Model and Beauty and the Geek: The CW showed "unseen clips" and recapped the past seasons. Very little was revealed, unless you count the America's Next Top Model scene in which Jenah steals Sarah's top.
