Boston Blotter: Banned in Boston

080707_justice.jpg--A Boston judge sentenced three cocaine dealers yesterday and then told them that, after they serve their time, they will not be allowed to move back to the city for 12 years. According to the Herald, 19-year-old Amos Carasquillo of Mattapan, 26-year-old Nathan Garrasteguy of Roxbury, and 21-year-old Louis Garcia Jr. of Roxbury have 60 arrests among them. Besides those guys, eleven gang members have been rounded up in the past few weeks.

--Last night, a man was shot several times in the South End. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and the BPD arrested 28-year-old Michael Clark of Dorchester for the crime.

--WBZ reports that a police cruiser responding to an officer-in-trouble call this afternoon struck a car in South Boston. The DA's Office announced that the unidentified driver of the car died.

--That creep in Brookline who was climbing into homes and assaulting women in their sleep might be back. A woman was assaulted early yesterday morning. Police describe the perp as "white in his early 20s. He is said to be between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He has short, black hair."

--A trash-compactor fire prompted the evacuation of 7,000 people from the Hynes Convention Center last night. The compactor was outside by the loading dock.

All charges alleged until proven under law.
