Former Massachusetts governor and presidential aspirant Mitt Romney has introduced the "Mitt Market." When the news first got out, it seemed that Team Romney made another boo-boo along the lines of advertising on gay.com. "Mitt Market" is awfully close to "meat market." However, the Mitt Market is another way for Romney to raise money, as if he doesn't have enough.
The Mitt Market is just like one of those stores that sells your crap on eBay if you don't like dealing with eBay. Only all the profits from your Welcome Back Kotter hook rug, dirty-talking Teletubby, or driftwood art would go to Mitt Romney, not you. Team Romney is partnering with auctionPAL from Waltham for this endeavor.
The Democratic National Committee is selling a Mitt Romney Flip-Flop Kit on eBay as a response. The winning bidder will receive all kinds of Mitt-Related Memorabilia along with a pair of black flip-flops with a green band. (Buyer beware: The flip-flops aren't flip-floppy enough and don't poke through the big toe and the second toe. They are more like sandals!) The latest bid is $338.
