Boston Blotter: More Bloodshed in Dorchester

-- Dorchester suffered another bloody night last night. One man is on life support after being shot multiple times in his own apartment. He suffered wounds to his head and chest and is not expected to survive. In a separate incident, a man in his 20s died this morning on Geneva Avenue from multiple stab wounds. No arrests have been made in either crime.

-- A gymnastics coach turned himself in this morning after being indicted with an accomplice on charges that he sexually assaulted two students in the 1990s.

Steven Infante, 51, of New Milford, Conn., president of Five Star Gymnastics camp, faces one count of rape, one count of rape of a child, and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14. The incidents involved two female victims and took place between 1991 and 1994.

Stephen DiTullio, 53, of Littleton was indicted on a connected charge of perjury. DiTullio runs the Five Star Gymnastics gym in Stow, Mass. Some of the incidents were alleged to have happened in his house.

-- Last night, a Brookline woman reported that someone entered her garage, broke into her car, and stole a bag from inside. We'd be more sympathetic, if the garage door had not been left wide open.

-- Frederick Woodard, 77, of Framingham stands accused of numerous charges after allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a sledgehammer. Katherine McLellan told police that she woke up when Woodard tried to strangle her with the weapon. Woodard accused McLellan of sleeping with their "'drunk' neighbor" and reportedly struck her in the head with the hammer. He underwent a competency evaluation today.

All charges alleged until proven under law.
