Your Comments: Milton Academy Hackers Scandal
Bostonist's post about the hackers at Milton Academy stirred the passions of Milton students and others who felt that we weren't giving the students who got busted hacking (or the whole school in general) a fair shake. They were particularly upset that we claimed students were overprivileged. So, here's their unvarnished words in defense of the school:
From lhalpern 10, a Milton Student:
check your facts and give milton a break it is a great school with great kids...the ones who made mistakes were punished accordingly...there are still 600 great kids attending the school- forcus on them.
From kane, who points out that hacking into the system and changing a grade isn't guaranteed to get you laid (but it might help!):
Additionally, I do not necessarily see the connection between hacking into computers and having a three-some that mimics famous global landmarks (in fact, I would think that the two would be inversely related).
From one commenter who goes by "bukkake tsunami":
Actually, the kids who did this were quite the opposite of over-privileged and none of them were douche-bags. They were misguided, but are nice, very intelligent kids. Both the part about loaded parents and readily available sex are so false.
A full-on comment brawl has ensued over whether or not Milton students are overprivileged brats or if a few rotten apples are spoiling the barrel. If only every high school in the area had so many defenders!
Also, props to Bostonist commenters. Boston Daily is also catching heat for posting on L'Affaire Hacker, and our commenters can spell better and use logic. We're not sure what some of the folks hating on the Daily are talking about.
These are statements from Bostonist readers and do not necessarily reflect those of the writers. Image of Milton from the official website.

I dunno about them, but I say, if Ferris Bueller could get away with it, so should they.
And HE presumably got laid, too.
