Brace Yourselves for "Trump Wonderland"

120307-trump.JPGDonald Trump might be serious about putting a casino in Massachusetts after all. The Globe is reporting that Donald Trump and Charles Sarkis, who owns Wonderland, are talking. Matt Viser points out that this could touch off a battle between Trump Wonderland and Suffolk Downs.

Sarkis and Suffolk Downs owner Richard Fields had been in talks in the past to join forces, but Trump could drive a wedge in that relationship. Viser writes,

Fields and Trump had a falling out over a casino partnership and are currently embroiled in a $1 billion lawsuit in Florida's Broward County. The suit, filed in 2004, has generated four boxes full of legal claims and counterclaims over a casino deal in Florida that went sour.

And, may we add one teensy-tiny thing? The casino idea hasn't been approved yet! And there's no guarantee that it is going to be approved. Has everyone forgotten how hard it was just to entertain the idea of a casino in Middleborough?

Another teensy-tiny thing. The AP report highlighted that the conversation was only 15 minutes long.

All this isn't going to stop us from fantasizing about Life With Trump. You can get a taste of it when "Celebrity Apprentice" starts airing January 3rd.

Image of Donald Trump, his daughter, and some celebrities we didn't immediately recognize (wait, is that a Baldwin brother?) from NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" site.
