Boston Blotter: Pregnant Woman Shot in Mattapan

crime_scene_tape.jpg--A woman who was pregnant with twins was shot in the back last night in Mattapan. Police are saying the 22-year-old was shot through her apartment window. The woman is now in stable condition.

The Herald adds that Police Commissioner Ed Davis went to the scene and that

It was unclear last night whether the woman was targeted by someone she knew or whether she was a victim of a bizarre act of random violence. A police source said the shooting last night may be related to another recent shooting. The source said the woman was likely not the target.

--Maria Cramer at the Globe interviewed the young woman who took a picture of the T Bag who has been groping on the Green Line. She's a Boston Latin student who got sick of being groped and snapped a cell-phone photo--and good for her. She also provided more information: "He wears the same thing every day. Same sunglasses, same coat, same jeans, same everything. Someone does that to you, you remember them for a while."

Again, here's the description: White, middle-aged, sunglasses, beige dress shirt, beige coat. Watch out.

--A mother and her teenage son were carjacked today in Dorchester. The Herald reports that the two assailants shoved the mother and son into her car on Lyndhurst Street. One of the men drove the car to Quincy, and the carjackers dropped the two off unharmed.

--An open case may be solved. The DA's Office announced yesterday that 30-year-old Michael Rosado, of Hyde Park, was arrested in Hollywood, Florida, for stabbing Robert Kelley, Jr, to death. Kelley was the individual whose dead body was found by the Jamaicaway in September.

--A man in Worcester wants his sleigh back. Vincent J. Gianfriddo Sr. puts a Christmas display in his front yard every year, and, on Monday night, someone stole his sleigh that happened to be, according to the Herald, a gift from Gianfriddo's late daughter. The sled is 5 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 3 feet tall. Surely there must be a witness--how do you miss a group of people dragging a sleigh down the street?

All charges alleged until proven under law.
