Bite Size News

--Maybe Fung Wah isn't so bad after all. The local press picked up on a b0st0n LiveJournal story that a Peter Pan bus driver felt that his passengers on a trip to Boston should be punished and forced to stay on the bus in Framingham because one of them called the company about his poor driving. The driver's sorry ass is about to get fired. [WBZ, b0st0n Live Journal]

--Female parking enforcement officers in Cambridge are fed up at how their male workers keep commenting on their body parts. One woman suffered the indignity of a fellow male coworker shouting "Nice toilet!" at her. How would he like it if someone yelled "Small package!" at him? Maybe the City Council can look at that problem instead of leaf blowers. [Cambridge Chronicle]

--Lots of trial news: A jury awarded Audrey Serrano of Massachusetts $2.5 million today because her doctor treated her for HIV--only she never had the virus. [AP/Boston Globe]

--More trial news: Carlos Pizarro, one of the BPD officers who got caught by the feds for agreeing to protect a cocaine shipment, was sentenced to 13 years in prison. [Boston Globe]

--Even more trial news: Moonie Moses, who is accused of raping two teenage girls and a woman in 2002, is defending himself in his trial in Suffolk Superior Court. [Boston Globe]

--The Harvard Lampoon and the city of Cambridge continue to hate on each other. [Cambridge Chronicle]

--Drew Faust doesn't like the piece the Globe ran yesterday about her plans to be a little slower when it comes to the Allston expansion. She told the Crimson that she wasn't slowing down the expansion but was "refining those aspirations." So, what's the difference? Wouldn't "refinement" slow things down anyway? [Harvard Crimson]

--Red Sox GM Theo Epstein and his spouse have spawned. [WCVB]

--Someone wants to stretch the Blue Line to Lynn? Don't forget the Green Line extension through Somerville! [Boston Globe]
