Holiday Happenings Tonight: Giving Time

The point of the holidays is to give as much as you receive, and tonight's chosen events (plus one announcement) have the giving spirit in mind.
Music
Benefit for Jeanne Sheehy at T.T. the Bear's with Jonny Pape, Auto Interiors, Joyce & Chick of Scarce, Downbeat 5, AdFrank, The Pills, and the Shods (who are returning after what their site describes as "a few years of vacation." 10 Brookline St., Cambridge, 9:05 pm. Party
The Milky Way Lounge and Lanes, which just went through a struggle regarding their sprinkler system, is back. Thru the Keyhole Burlesque, last seen on Bostonist as the Flufferettes at the Fluff Festival, will perform, and all proceeds will go to Jackson Square's Youth and Family Center. 405 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain. 9:00 pm.
Giving
Not tonight, but worth preparing for … 826 Boston, the writing and tutoring center/Crypto-Zoology Emporium, is holding a book drive to stock its library. Their target is to have 1,500 books by February 15. Reference books, art books, and photography books are high on the list. Over the holidays, start cleaning out your bookshelves, and the center will start accepting books on January 7. 3035 Washington Street, Boston. More details on donations.
