Yet another way to realize the complete 180 undertaken by our local basketball organization presents itself to us today. Not only are some of us trudging back to work after a holiday break, but we also must accept that we're going to be bleary-eyed for the rest of the week.
The reason? The Celts are on a road trip out West. Four games between now and Dec. 30, with three in Pacific Time and one in Mountain. What's that mean? Late night tip-offs and coffee-fueled mornings. Games that we would have (oh wait, let's amend that to "did") ignored at this point in 2006 now have us gearing up for feeling tired. Ah, the love of the game.
An Inglewood High School reunion will take place tonight, when Paul Pierce and the Celtics kick off their road trip in Sacramento. We're hoping that maybe Lisa Leslie shows up pregame to school Pierce and Kings coach Reggie Theus on who the best player to come out of Inglewood really is!
