Boston Blotter: Shooting on Columbia Road
--Early yesterday morning, a 16-year-old was shot on Columbia Road. According to the BPD, witnesses said the victim was taking out the trash when he got hit. His injuries are non-life-threatening. [BPD News]
--A driver who struck and killed a 13-year-old boy in Taunton early this morning and then took off surrendered to Taunton police this afternoon. [WCVB]
--A woman stole a cab in Chelsea and wound up crashing it in Revere. That wouldn't be special except for this: "Apparently, she didn't know where she was going because she stopped and asked a police officer for directions." [WHDH]
--Perhaps the best Blotter announcement ever from the Brookline Police Department: "There is no crime to report for December 25th." [Brookline TAB]
--But that isn't stopping the BPD from boosting patrols during this party-saturated time of year: "Police said yesterday that many of the [recent] attacks reflect that this is the time of year when people drink and feud more, not a resurgence in crime." Drinking and feuding, the root causes of so many crimes. Just ask the Hatfields and the McCoys. [Boston Globe]
--Remember the flag-burning anarchists of Northampton? Well, those anarchists might turn out to be a 65-year-old guy. [Boston Herald]
--Speaking of tough elders, props to the Cambridge grandma who told some creep allegedly swearing at her to shut up. [Cambridge Chronicle]
All charges alleged until proven under law.

The tipoff to the 65 year old flag burner? He was the last guy in town who still uses a typewriter.
Now that was a good one! I guess the anarchists of today prefer texting.
