Sports Redux: One Little Game

Dear Patriots:

We stood by you when news of Spygate broke. We defended high scores. We held on during the close games, the commercial breaks, the adjusted gametimes, and the appearances of Victoria's Secret models past and present. We've argued against asterisks. We've grown to love The Hoodie. We've tried our best to focus each and every week on the next team, the next series of downs, and the next immediate challenge facing this New England organization. We've knocked on wood, worn our Pats finery, and braved the cold. Some of us have thrown snowballs and many others wanted to be able to.

We know that you are trying to consider tonight's showdown against the Giants (and the lesser Manning) as just one game.

We just ask that you please, please win this one.
