A New Year's Resolution for Tom Brady

010108-brady-stetson.JPGTom Brady is a great quarterback and we would never dispute his judgment on the field. But he should never, ever, ever give dating advice. Remember what happened last time?

Unfortunately, Bostonist saw on Deadspin that he's at it again. Here's what a "source" said Brady allegedly told Romo from MSNBC: "After that debacle of a game with Jessica being flashed on the screens during every play, Tom told Tony to put a stop to allowing Jess to come to games. Think about it: How often do you see Gisele [Bundchen] cheering Tom on?"

So, here's a suggested New Year's resolution for Brady. Stop with the dating advice. While we agree with what he's said to Romo regarding the toxicity of Jessica Simpson's presence, Brady should be careful and stick to what he is good at.

And what is he doing talking to Tony Romo, anyway? As a competitor, shouldn't he want Jessica Simpson to show up at all of Romo's games? Or are NFL quarterbacks in a secret club in which they rank all the starlets they want to score with and pick them off one by one? (Don't answer that. Bostonist doesn't want to think about it.)

Next thing you know, Brady will wind up dating Jessica Simpson. She said she wanted a Boston guy, after all.
