Today Republican presidential candidate/Iowa caucus winner/Romney rival Mike Huckabee faced a heckler who clearly forgot that where there's Huckabee, there's Chuck Norris. The man had a right to speak, but, as Charlie Savage writes, he wouldn't shut up and kept yelling, "Why is Richard Haass, the president of the Council of Foreign Relations, your political adviser?"
Then Huckabee unveiled his not-so-secret weapon and said, "Don't make me send Chuck back there!" Chuck Norris still works on the Total Gym--the dude did not want to face Norris.
The heckler left. Too bad no one knows how Huckabee would have answered the question.
In the midst of the incident, Huckabee said, "The great thing about this country is that we're not gonna take him out an shoot him, we're not gonna take him out and beat him up, we're gonna let him be and be a part of this event today because that's what makes America a great country." Point well taken, but that makes it sound like it's a scary either/or situation. It's not as if there are only two ways--let him heckle or induce grievous bodily harm--to deal with a heckler.
