Boston Blotter: Update on Man Killed Yesterday

033107_body_outline.jpg--23-year-old Joseph Clarke was shot and killed at the intersection of Bowdoin and Norton Streets early yesterday. He was shot in the head soon after he called his mother to wish him a happy birthday. According to family members, the ex-boyfriend of Clarke's girlfriend had threatened him in the past. --This morning, 47-year-old Alfredo Torres was found shot to death in North Andover. Police don't think it was random. [WCVB]

--In an act of desperation worthy of the Darwin Awards, a man jumped from a moving car in an attempt to escape the Framingham police. Luckily, his unoccupied car hit a garage pillar, and police nabbed him. [MetroWest Daily News]
