--John Tibbs pled guilty to the 1995 murder of Tennyson Drakes. He was sentenced to "9-10 years in state prison that will run concurrent with the 27-year federal prison sentence he is currently serving for another slaying." Another man, Marlon Passley, had been wrongly convicted for the crime and served four years. [DA's Office]
--An 87-year-old man has died from an illness related to the tainted milk from Whittier Farms. He is the third person to die from bacteria in the milk. [Boston Globe]
--Two teenage snow enthusiasts from Shrewsbury were found after getting lost in the snow at a ski resort in New Hampshire. [Boston Herald]
