Boston Blotter: Shooting at Canton House
--18-year-old Darrion Carrington was shot and killed late last night in the front lobby of the Canton House in Dorchester. Police don't think it was random. However, it is scary that the assailant just walked into the restaurant and started firing. [BPD News, Boston Herald]
--Cambridge police arrested a suspect in the shooting of a man at a party on Cherry Street on Sunday night. He was arrested on numerous charges: "possession to distribute a Class D drug, drug violation near a school zone, home invasion, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, a subsequent offense of carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm and ammunition without a license and armed assault with intent to murder." [Cambridge Chronicle]
--In Saugus yesterday afternoon, police arrested two cousins whose fight got violent. The two men were taken to the hospital with stab wounds. [Boston Herald]
--Framingham police have to deal with the weirdest stuff. They should get a medal for this one--the renegade doorbell-ringer. An 18-year-old was ringing doorbells early Sunday morning and running off. She did it enough that someone called the cops regarding the nuisance. When asked by police if she had been drinking, she replied, "No. I'm on Ecstasy, baby." [Framingham Daily News]
--You'd think he'd be smart enough to find a way out of it. A Harvard student got busted with fake ID materials, not to mention IDs with numbers that provided access to "Crimson Cash." [Harvard Crimson]
All charges alleged until proven under law.
