Boston Blotter: Yahoos With Guns, Fake Cops, Vlora

crime_scene_tape.jpg--A parking rage incident turned so ugly in Chelsea early this morning that a man was shot in the stomach. The Chelsea police chief said the whole mess started solely because one parked car was "touching" another parked car. And this is what happens when people with anger-management issues have guns. [Boston Globe]

--In a drug-related shooting, an innocent 68-year-old man was shot in the back in Roxbury after trying to defend his apartment building from thugs trying to get at a pot dealer who lives near the victim. Unfortunately, the pot dealer got arrested, and the people who did the shooting are still at large. [Boston Herald]

--The Cambridge PD is warning residents about people pretending to be cops. A man with a badge frisked a guy and stole his wallet on Fifth Street on January 4. Another guy pretending to be a constable tried to get an elderly woman to let him into her home, but she told him to buzz off, which is exactly what she should have done. (The "constable's" hoodie was a dead giveaway.) [Cambridge Chronicle]

--Anna Tang, the Wellesley student who allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend in his MIT dorm room, was released yesterday on $10,000 bail. However, she will be under house arrest and must wear a GPS bracelet. [The MIT Tech]

--This happened a while ago, but apparently the staff at the Back Bay restaurant Vlora went so nuts on New Year's Eve that they padlocked the door against the cops. Police went there to respond to a sexual assault call, and they had no way to find out if anything happened or protect anyone in danger. A bartender also pulled a knife on the police. (Remember the BPD refrain "never a good idea"?) Now Vlora might lose its license. [WBZ]

--Most boring crime headline ever: "Officer finds evidence that someone was rolling a blunt." [Somerville Journal]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
