New Hampshire Rumors: Tom Brady, Kucinich Supporter?

010108-brady-stetson.JPGCelebrity sightings in New Hampshire were common. For example, the ubiquitous Chuck Norris was with Mike Huckabee, and Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins were with John Edwards. And we all know about "Cooter."

However, the New York Times was privy to a few wacky rumors:

One man telling his friend that Curt Schilling, the Boston Red Sox pitcher, had been in the state campaigning for Senator John McCain. The friend then said he had also heard that the New England Patriots quarterback/cover idol Tom Brady was here for Representative Dennis J. Kucinich.

“No way,” the man said. Asked if he was serious, the friend, Kevin Conroy of Manchester, explained only that “I like to say outrageous things” and that he was supporting Fred D. Thompson.

Schilling campaigning for McCain is hardly a stretch since Schilling has been vocal about his love for The Mac. But a Brady-Kucinich pairing is as unlikely as the existence of UFOs (unless Kucinich really did see a UFO …). "Outrageous," indeed. Brady was once spotted at a Bush State of the Union speech, a fact which Chris Wallace rubbed in Senator John Kerry's face. Even if Brady is independent, we just can't imagine him with Kucinich, although it might be safer to imagine him with Kucinich's hot wife.
