No Pants 2K8 in Boston
The First No Pants 2K8
Saturday, January 12
3:00 pm
Alewife Station
Details on the Pants-Free Par-Tay
Ride the T pantsless! Following the lead of other cities, a bold Boston man, Adam Sablich, has organized No Pants 2K8 for this city.
Founded by the group Improv Everywhere, No Pants 2K8 is exactly what you think. You get on the train, and you take off your pants. Your pants, people, not what's underneath.
Here's the details on the Boston ride from Improv Everywhere:
3:00 PM, Sharp! Location: Meet at ALEWIFE STATION, Indoors. You can park there ($5) or take the subway out to Alewife, but we will be meeting just before the platform, downstairs, in the large open area. If you are coming from the parking garage, you will have to purchase your subway ticket and go through the turnstiles first, and you will see us. Bring: A backpack and a charliecard/cash.
At the stop, a team leader will group people together and tell them what to do. For even more details, head to the Boston No Pants 2K8 Facebook page. There are rules. First and foremost, you must have something on underneath when you depants. Anything less than a thong is inappropriate. The point is to have fun and not get anyone arrested.
Hope it's not cold! News media must depants as well. Bostonist is considering boxers.
More info at the Patriot Ledger and WCVB. Chicagoist also has tales from its pantsless team.

Ew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring Purell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is all over the media and on every message board. So much for surprises--isn't that the point of ImprovEverywhere? If we're all in on the joke and are expecting it, then it's just a meeting of people in their undies.
Ever since the This American Life story on them http://thislife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=286 (Episode 286, Act Two), I've felt the guy behind this is a jerk. Some of it is silly and fun, but I just can't support anything he does anymore.
I'm confused, when I was in college I belonged to the church of http://www.nopantsday.com/wp/.
I didn't know that there were competing schools of no-pants thought
