The Wrinkles in "Iron My Shirt"
Even though the guys who held up the "Iron My Shirt" sign during a Hillary Clinton campaign speech were determined to be pranksters from Boston station WBCN, people are still pissed at Adolfo Gonzalez Jr. and intern Nick Gemelli from WBCN's "Toucher & Rich" show.
Apparently Gonzalez had several jokes up his sleeve when he was escorted out. The NY Daily News reported that Gonzalez told a reporter that his name was "Hugh Jas." Wonder what would have happened if he said that to the cops.
"Hugh Jas" elicits a giggle (because Gonzalez is a big, beefy man), but Daily Kos commenters want a pound of his flesh. RickyScorpio composed an action letter that calls for the cancellation of "Toucher & Rich."
While this Bostonist thinks the stunt was colossally dumb and finds it offensive on so many levels (iron your own damn shirt! Howard Stern, you are not!), WBCN probably doesn't care too much. At first, the station seemed to like it. According to the "Toucher & Rich" fan board, WBCN mentioned the incident on its home page, but it disappeared, and references to the incident on the "Toucher & Rich" show MySpace page and Adolfo's MySpace page have been removed. So you know, Bostonist e-mailed and called WBCN for a response and heard nothing.
Oh, and Nick and Adolfo have now been immortalized on Wikipedia.
Image of Adolfo Gonzalez aka "Captain Fun" aka Hugh Jas from his MySpace page. His shirt doesn't look ironed to us. No, we didn't feel like showing the "Iron My Shirt" video again. You can watch it at DailyKos.

The mental picture of a 55 year old, ponytailed moonbat, outraged by something he himself once did, is delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Daily KOS props to Mark Parenteau, late of WBCN, XM radio and the pedophile wing of a medium security prison. Further evidence that these folks don't read the newspapers.
