Boston Blotter: Snow Doesn't Slow Anything Down
--The BPD reported a sexual assault on Charter Street at about 8:00 am yesterday morning, in the thick of the snowstorm. Here is the perp's description: "The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 6’0” in height, short hair, medium build, 25 - 30 years in age, wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and black pants." Police also think the same man was involved in a similar crime last summer. [BPD News, Boston Globe]
--A man carjacked a woman yesterday during the storm. The woman, who had left her car unattended as it was warming up, was holding her toddler at the time of the attack. The man was armed and put a gun to the victim's cheek, but he took the car without hurting anyone. Here's the suspect and car information: "[The suspect is] Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, thin, with some facial hair, wearing jeans and a black jacket with a hood. The stolen Honda is a gray, four-door Civic with Massachusetts plate 89FD37." [MetroWest Daily News]
--Some guy went apeshit, for lack of a better term, at the Phoenix Landing in Cambridge. For some reason, the 44-year-old man, who is black, saw fit to scream "Heil Hitler!" and "I hate white Democratic lesbians." (As Amy Derjue points out, the individual did not know his audience.) He also shoved a bartender and was arrested. [Cambridge Chronicle]
--Not only is Cambridge dealing with misguided haters, but the women of the city are also coping with "drive-by perverts." Be careful in front of that McDonald's on Mass Ave. [Cambridge Chronicle]
--A three-alarm fire broke out in a house on the Milton Academy campus this morning. And we promise not to give anyone at Milton static until we hear the cause. [Boston Globe]
All charges alleged until proven under law.
